Dev Ops Manager - Engineering

We're looking for an experienced Dev Ops Manager to help oversee and manage the development of EON's SaaS platform, as we transition from a startup into a maturing business. This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering and will be responsible for implementing well-designed workflows and tools, identifying growth opportunities and efficiencies, quality checks, and deployment.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize networks and services for the EON platform production application, including vulnerability testing and penetration testing.

  • Manage device and password policy for employees and contractors for all Eon 3rd party applications and services.

  • Develop and execute disaster recovery procedures, and maintain data backups

  • Manage device policies, installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software for clients and servers

  • Participate in creating and reporting the status of Service Level Agreements issued to customers

  • Regularly assess system performance and recommend improvements

  • Resolve issues escalated by platform stakeholders and engineers

  • Enforce information security policy, ensuring data is handled, transferred, or processed according to the company’s legal and privacy guidelines

  • Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshooting, and provide technical support when needed, especially new employee onboarding.

  • Provide help desk escalation support to stakeholders

  • Negotiate favorable terms with vendors and manage ongoing vendor contracts.

  • Develop and document IT policies and practices

Key skills

  • Proven experience in IT Operations Management

  • Experience working in the Microsoft Azure stack is a plus

  • Experience working directly with developers as part of a SaaS solution is a plus

  • Experience managing 3rd party solutions, i.e., Identity Access Management, Enterprise Mobility Management, Mobile Device and Applications Management, Zero Trust, LDAP or AD are a plus

  • Up-to-date knowledge of data protection operations and legislation

  • Leadership and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Problem-solving aptitude

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT or relevant field
